Custom Orders
Below are pieces I have made as custom orders. If you would like to discuss a custom order, contact me.
Dining Room Table and BenchThese clients wanted a dining table and accompanying bench to serve as a center of activity for their family. A special aspect of this order was that they wanted me to use a set of black walnut boards that were harvested from their family farm. The design they selected was a mixture of styles, with a traditional/rustic table top set on a modern metal base. The table is finished with linseed oil and gloss polyurethane, which brings a high level of protection to the surface and enhances the luster of the grain.

Kitchen Utensil SetThis client wanted a unique gift to use for his Secret Santa party. He asked for a large spoon, a large spatula, and "something else, your choice." The small spoon was what I came up with for my choice - it can be used as a coffee scoop or other specialty purposes. All items were finished with a food-safe tung oil.

Grill Accessory BoxThis client wanted to have a toolbox for his grill accessories that would be similar to one his grandfather had used. He still had the old toolbox, but he wanted to have one specially made to begin his own legacy.
He provided me a few photos and basic measurements of his grandfather's toolbox. I based the design on his grandfather's toolbox but added certain style upgrades, such as the distinctive ambrosia maple handle and sides. |
Monitor StandThis client works on the computer all day and wanted to have a stylish but functional stand to hold his monitor at the right ergonomic height. He sent me a link to a monitor stand from an online store that fit the design of what he wanted. I based this sleek flowing edge design on that product, but built it from beautiful solid black walnut with an oil rubbed finish. I worked with the client all the way through the building process to make sure it was exactly how he wanted it.
